Photographer’s Note
On the last Sunday of May a very nice multi-cultural festival take place in a park in Rotterdam, Dunya Festival. It originates from a festival with International Poetry, but now it's most about performances, gigs, food and drink. Yesterday it was the 30th Edition, and it was very busy. I didn't stay long as you could hardly move, so I can't present real pictures from performances.
I manage to get a shot in a (typical Dutch sweet shop, though, that i find rather funny.
I have no idea whether it was by accident that I clicked when she had her eyes closed, but it seems she is echoing the 'LOVE IS..." tag behind her, not only with her eyes but with her smile also.
In the workshop area is a comic version of the little sweet shop, check it out here.

hahahaha, it´s fantastic dear! These eyes closed and the hart over her head... Terrific Rinie. This is what I call a perfect timing and the rest are just jokes. Fantastic.
Miguel
PS: Always so great to see you around.

Hi Rinie
Long time since I seen those "Kærlighed er" signs -
I like the combination with a life model - cute as well. Thanks for sharing.

ha, nice, clever, her closed eyes make this image works, nice composition, maybe a bit too dark, i would work on it in PS a bit ti make it more contrasty, good stuff

Yep, your love is kind of underexposed, hence I tried to brighten it up with a workshop. No love should remain in the dark!

Such a cute and youthful picture Rinie!
I like the different scales of pink here...which create such a lovely scenery.Enen though accidently...you achieved to make a great composition with this girl's expression to complete the phrase above her.
Many regards

Hi Rinie,
I remember those litte "Love is..." characters, I used to collect them when I was living in the US. Your picture is very funny with the girl mimicking the tag in the back and the little pink heart above her head. It's a bit dark, but Gal has already fixed that!
Have a nice evening.

Hi, dear!
It's very very funny! The heart over the head, as say Miguel; the coincidence between the real girl and the painted girl; these are two things makes this shot a very clever shot and very well thought! And it's great too the color schema! Great shot!
Best wishes,
Angel.

Angel faced shop tennant with a sweetheart hovering around her head. Much better eye closed than wide open, she seems in her own candy dream.
Appropriate pinkish/orangy color cast but like Gal noticed I wish it was a little bit brighter with some more contrast.
I just saw Gal's workshop, he managed to get lollipop colors : excellent!

Hi Rinie. A lot of elements in Japanese daily life and popular culture are about kawaii ("cute"), and this is a fun example from your home town. The compo is well made with the girl in front of the sign, and besides the candy displays. I think that her closed eyes are doing the trick here and for me make the photo work much better than if she were directly looking into your camera - her expression seems to be echoing the one of the painted character behind her, or she seems to be in the middle of a dream that makes hearts emerge from her head. Maybe just slightly lifting the brightness level without changing the contrast would be a noise-minimizing post-work for this one. Greetings from Tokyo.

Hoi Rinie! Endearing and funny indeed. You captured a delightful scene and moment here. And your descerning eye couldn't miss this. Lovely. The pic can do with some tweaking as Gal's WS shows but in this state it's allready very nice!
Cheers,
Bert

Very amusing arrangement Rinie, clever to get her expression similar to one of thecartoon characters, and the hear over her head makes her look like par tof the drawing.

Belle photo de cette affiche et cette jeune fille qui sourit les yeux fermés comme si elle pensait a ces amours de chiques ou boulles ou bonbons je ne sais comment vous les appellez chez vous. Amitiés Thomas
