One year later... Photo

Photographer’s Note

During a harbour tour you sometimes can get pretty close to these big big ships with containers that are unloaded at the Rotterdam ECT terminal. Unloading a boat is done by machines and transport method that do not even require human interference anymore, so meeting a few people between these massive amounts of containers is a rare opportunity.
I have no idea waht the guy wanted, I tried to track down his soccer shirt, it's La Martina #4, no idea wich soccer club that is.

This was shot during the TE-weekend in Rotterdam exactly a year ago. I met so many fine people in that weekend...

I would love to spend more time on TE. Trust me, I take a look every day and haven't forgotten about all you guys.

My dear... It´s a great day in TE when you are around. I want to be the first to post a critic about this photo. I love that in the midle of such a metalic world, you show us the spontaneity of a human been, and also there is a smile.

Hi Rinie, I hope all is well. Hard to believe that it's already a year since we had the TE-meeting in Rotterdam; I still fondly remember the get-together. This is a nice impression from the harbor cruise, with the workers seen aside the huge containers on the dock. A nice candid take.

Actually I also have a photo of these guys, but never posted it on TE. Was testing my then-new 18-200 at full range, you can see it here.
