Photographer’s Note

Exactly one year ago, I was attending the fine meeting in Rotterdam, so, one last picture, taekn from my hotel room (503).

It is the famous Erasmus Brug above the new Maas.

A very fine one to celebrate the Rotterdam Meet's first anniversary, Didier :-) What a fun weekend it was! A beautiful and atmospheric photo.

Hey Didier!!! Nice upload! I shpould be able to see my house.
Actually I had the plan to comment on a photo of every person who was in Rotterdam a year ago, so this is an apt upload. The bridge is nopw lit in purple, the color of the Rotterdam Year of Architecture.
Didn't we have a great weekend?
And now? I'm not active at the moment, although I NEED to come back. TE is still the start-up page of my browser. I think Bala asked for a reunion

Ah bien voilà notre vieux copain Erasmus. Cela faisait un moment qu'on ne l'avait pas vu! C'est sympa de marquer l'anniversaire de cette rencontre qui doit être un très bon souvenir pour ceux qui y étaient. Ta photo est très réussie avec cet éclairage orangé assez particulier et les lignes du pont qui se détachent parfaitement. Tu avais tout de même une belle vue depuis ta chambre!

Un bon point de vue et une composition sympathique. Bien vu d'avoir inclus ce batiment sus la droite qui ferme bien la vue. Ambiance nocturne très propre, la vue de la 503 est quand même pas mal ;-)

....Une chose est sur..! La prochaine sortie à quatre...elle est nocturne..! Et tu sais où...! Regarde ta photo et tu aura trouvé l'endroit...o)))))
C'étais pour me faire plaisir que vous disiez que " Le Pat est bon en photo de nuit "...Et toi alors...!
Tu ne doute pas que j'aime beaucoup celle-ci, lumière, couleur et netteté au poil, je préfère celle-ci à la (503)..!
Bien à toi et amitié sincère de Bruxelles..
N'oublie rien dans ton sac..:o))
Reviens avec des belles photos...je t'envie un peu mais sans jalousie.. :o))))))
Profite un max car comme disait ma grand-mère « Profite de la vie mon petit car elle est trop courte ».. !.. :o)-)

A lovely golden hour shot with excellent exposure(s). The effect is one which makes the water look like a sheet of metal and I like it.

Ah ah le retour de l'Erasmusade-503, on attend la reponse de Norbert ;-)
C'est vrai que la vue depuis cette chambre justifiait bien de payer un peu cher et la structure est superbe de fluidite, curieusement j'ai remarque que j'utilise beaucoup ce mot recemment pour decrire des photos... le contraste clair sur sombre contribue aussi a faire ressortir la structure.

encore une très belle prise de vue nocturne!
L'éclairage blanc permet au pont de bien se détacher. J'aime bien la couleur "brune" du ciel.

Bonjour Didier,
Your higher POV from the hotel allowed you to frame the shot better than I was able to do from the water taxi dock. I think your shot is one of the best I've seen of this loverly bridge. I particularly like the way you were able to show the building on the far shore in a way that shows how it was apparently built to complement the bridge.
