[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Continuing the serie with the 16th post, Sagres II again. The ship seems to be parallel with us, but she is slowing getting away, already further away than in the previous (which was I believe the closest view in the serie). The sails are only showing their insides now, but you can again see that the yards have different orientations from the lowest one to the top one. The sails on the mizzen mast are also visible now, even if they all oriented very oblically from the axis of the ship. See also the group of sailors on the foredeck.
In addition to the usual horizon / constrast/ noise/ sharpness, this one had a slight workshop to mask a piece of our own rigging in the top right corner (I post the original in workshop).

Hi Emmanuel,
Magnificient yacht .... good contrast between the dark blue waters and the white hull. I just saw the biggest private yacht, Athena, last month and I realize the beauty of these old yachts. The image is very sharp and good natural colors. Excellent! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Bonsoir Emmanuel
Vraiment ta collection de vieux greements est impressionnante.
Une image classique mais techniquement parfaite
Amicalement

Hi Emmanuel,
Very good composition, beautiful ship, pretty colour of water, perfect sharpness. Good work!
Regards
Maciek

Hello Emmanuel,
I like this photo even better than the (horizontally framed) one that you posted a few days ago. The more active waves in the foreground make this a little more lively image. Your composition is perfect. Some PS work like reducing the bright highlights and you have a fine-art masterpiece ready to print and frame. Beautiful!
Stan

Hi Emmanuel an other magnificent ship, great and elegant, I like the great details and the wonderful contrast between white and blu, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Emmanuel!

Totally parallel to our point of view! Great this pov, just because the visual information and details about the boat is perfectly. The light is still great, as usual, and there´s some intersting effect on the water, that really likes me!

Thank you so much for your words about my last picture, I was not very confortable about the light, and colours shown, but as you say, could be seen as an old image!

Cheers!

Miguel

I share your interest in sail Emmanuel. Old or new there is something very special about being "under sail" with "canvas up"... This shot is a classic. The divison of water and sky is ncely done here. Great reflection. I am glad there is no chopper to mess up this shot. Tfs, Jay

PS I appreciate your honesty abt the upper right corner ;)

Bonjour Emmanuel
This is a parallel POV for the grand boat, a much more traditional approach...the reflections on the water in the FG is very nice. A small interesting part is the flag which appears to be like the Portuguese flag to me...pls. correct me if I'm wrong. Technicals are excellent as always

Angshu

salut Emmanuel
