Photographer’s Note
During the lonf travel from Milan to Panama City we had a stop-over in Aruba, a Netherland's Antille island, thanks to the KLM flight.
A stop-over of around 8, 10 hours, and we had time to go on a beach close to the airport to swimm in the sea.
That image, in front of the sun was took using my sunglasses as a filter, to reduce the light.
The light brown tone is an effect, or a ...conspiracy of my Ray Ban!

Ottimo uso degli occhiali da sole direi , le tonalità di questo bel tramonto sono accattivanti , Elton John o Renato Zero potrebbero fare infinite varianti al tema ........ , scherzi a parte , una bella foto , anche ben scannerizzata .
Ciao Stefano.

Hi Paolo
Lovely painting-like effect and this lack of sharpness doesn`t disturb in this case. Great composition with the sail and nice colours thanks to the specific filter ;).

Hello Paolo,
Très jolie vue de la mer sous un ciel superbe.
De très jolies couleurs sous une lumière très douce.
ON dirait une peinture!

He,he, you sure made me laugh with your Ray Ban story. I never thought of that tecnhique. I will have to try it some day. The result is a wonderful painting. A bit dark, the wave, but I like that. It balances well the sails on the other corner, right on the line of the horizon, that is really straight and horizontal ;-) Beautiful lighting and orange tones.
Enjoy the weekend,
Ricardo

Not bad quality for a scan of an 'oldie'!! Love the colours and the composition with the boat well placed in the frame. Nice one.
Best wishes

Tye lack of sharpness perhaps makes it better. As Henryk said it looks like a painting.
The sailboat is a fantastic thing here, really makes it an interesting frame.

Perfect filter Paolo your RayBan glaces. Interesting brownish setting from the polaroid. Simple details included still an interesting result where of course the sailer out there is a 'must'. Another good job in the scanner - and some pp I take..

Hi Paolo,
You've just given me an idea for another practical use of a sunglass :) I wouldn't mind stopping over this airport ... the beach is a big plus. Anyway, I like the way you placed that solitary yacht ... just finishes the composition nicely. Pretty good quality for a scanned image. Well done ... TFS
Cheers,
Renier

Hi Paolo.
Another lovely sunset. The detail of the ship is, in my opinion, the key of the picture.

Ciao Paolo,
Looking at this image, i felt like gazing at the infinity with tearful eyes. Soft and dark colors and the peaceful sail at the distance add great nostalgia to the atmosphere. Black-orange contrast and the symmetry of the triangles at the top left dark and bottom right light corners are great.
Cheers and compliments,
Deniz

Hi Paolo!
Nice shot with that modified colours.
Good clarity and well done effect on water movement (probably due to a high speed shoot).
TFS and best wishes,

Hi Paolo - 10 hours of relaxation before the big adventure! I've done that as well, actually I did 5 days of relaxed affordable luxury travel in Japan before starting backpacing 4 months around Asia. I've also used my sunglasses as a filter (many many years ago) but the results were unsucceessful, beautuful image here, but a bit too soft in quality.

Buona domenica!!

Hi Paolo,
A novel idea with the sunglasses as a filter! I like the resulting effect, with the coppery brown hue contrasting nicely with the water. The silhouette of the sailboat is the perfect touch, and the area in the right foreground of beach helps balance the frame further. Well captured.

Alex
