Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken from the Jewel of the Seas while in the lock at IJmuiden, Netherlands. This was an early evening shot with the sun low in the sky.
It's an old watertower which happens to have a large clock on it. It is located in Velsen close to Ijmuiden, was build in 1915-1916, is 42,6m high and can contain 550m3 of water. (Thanks Harko!!!!!)

Hi Asa,
lovely colors and an interesting object. I guess it is mainly for water, the clock might be an addition. I different crop and some sharpness would give another touch I think. I made a workshop, make your own decision please.

Hi ASa,
Funny to see a picture of IJmuiden, not realy known as ione of the most attractive places of Holland (but an interesting one). Good shot of this majestic watertower (never noticed how big it is), rising high above the houses. Good colours and light.
Thanks and regards, Gerrit

Hello Asa'
Interesting & wonderful design for a water tower. Nice colors & composition. I like the view of the water/clock tower coming out of the trees and colorful houses in front.

Asa,
I like the compo of this shot and this very interesting clock tower. It is a nice look with it setting behind the smaller buildings in front.
