Photographer’s Note

Early one morning, when I took the bike for a cycling-tour in the neigbourhood, I noticed this mill in a peaceful atmosphere on the other side of the canal. Pictured from the province Noord-Holland while the other side of the canal is another province, Zuid-Holland:-))

I really like this shot Hans. Its got a very quiet and peaceful feel to it. I like damp and misty mornings such as this, which is just as well as we get plenty of them here in England.
Your composition is very good; the farm buildings and windmill make an interesting foreground and I like how the big grey sky dominates the frame.

Hi Hans,
All here looks quiet. It's always a pleasure to go out very early to see a different world while people are still asleep. Very peaceful shot and a great compo with all this empty space.

nice picture, I like the serenity in these and how the buildings are like silhouettes, the dark lighting is nice and I like the dull colors.

The fog works vey nice for the mood, Hans. The large negative space works great as well. I think that I would like to have a bit more contrast, not too much to kill the fog, but a little bit bor better visibility.

Bedankt voor al je bezoeken aan mijn foto's een paar dagen geleden! :-)
Dit is een mooi polderlandschap in de vroege ochtend. Er hangt een mooie sfeer in deze foto, prima werk!

Beste vriend Hans,

Zo vroeg in de morgen en dit in de maand april, en met de fiets is wel goed voor de conditie!
Een molen midden van de mistige atmosfeer, met daarbij de silhouetten van het kleine boederij, die precies uit de grond opsteekt, goede samenstelling en gezellig om naar te kijken tijdens deze warme dagen, voel fris aan!

Bonjour mon bon ami Hans,
J'aime cette prise de vue prise par un temps entre brume et brouillard, cela rappelle certains tableaux hollandais.
Il faut dire que j'aime beaucoup mieux voir un moulin plutôt qu'une éolienne, le charme est quand même très différent (et en plus, l'éolienne ne fabrique pas de farine) ! ;o))

Hi Hans, je hebt hier een mysterieus werk neergezet. De mist, de silhouetten.....er zit ook een treffende diepte in door die mist, trouwens. Mooi werk!
