Photographer’s Note

During our promenade at the Arboretum Tronpemburg, in the memorable TE Meeting in Rotterdam, Torben showed me very briefly his Out of the garden. I looked to it and smiled and i got intrigued because i had the impression i had seen something like that before, but at that moment it was just an impression. Later, while sorting my images from that place, I found something that could be his image, but years later.

Part of that morning, Line and I spent sat on a bench, kind of not exactly at ease with such beauty. Later, Sophie joined us: three women, three cultures, enjoying the view ;)

It was a delightful weekend.

Hmmm, i recognize that place ;o) Actually our sunday morning in that park on that bench is one of the very best memories from our weekend. When i saw the thumb I just knew this one was related to Torbens running kid, a very good comment, and i love the simple compo and the not vey saturated colours and everything else.

I remember that moment on the bench quite vividly. It was also a sweet, precious moment for me. I feel this image full of hope, actually: maybe we will be able to do such a thing again, before we are as old as this woman, still enjoying peace and quiet moments. As this woman, I'm not scared of the way to go, if it has its share of moments like this.
