[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken during te Spido boat trip of the TE meeting in Rotterdam.
Taken from the Rijnhaven and the view is to the famous Erasmus bridge, the Renzo Piano KPN building on the right, and the warehouses on the Wilhelminapier. From this pier, passenger ships left to the United States up until 1978.

The warehouses, the one on the right is already renovated and changed to appartments, and the one on the left, with the names of Celebes and Borneo (islands in Indonesia (former Dutch colony) where the Dutch stole a lot of things, will be renovated and turned into shops, restaurants and housing.
I'll look up a little bit more of the history and the future plans.
This shot is a wider view and from a slightly different angle than Sophie's here.
The light was flat, and I adde more contrast to the picture.

Hi Rinie,

excellent woek. The crop is perfect. As tight as possible. Lovely lines all over the place showing off Rotterdam to be the architecturally progressive city Ive read it is. Fantastic sharpness and great depth.

Hello,

J'aime l'aspect graphique de cette photographie. Les haubans de ce pont caché sont impressionants.
Bien vu d'avoir intégré des personnes en avant plan pour donner l'échelle.

A+

Well, quite, the title says it all, and now that I've been, I see that this is.

Nice to see this wider-angle alternative to Sophie's photo, Rinie. A very structured and orderly frame in which the pillar of the Erasmusbrug is well placed and a good graphism is added by the harp-like cables diagonally extending towards the left. Good showing of the architectural contrast, even in the not-so-good lighting.

Very complementary photo with the one of Sophie and i like then both. In both case what I feel it´s a timeless sense, like we are going to be here all the time experiencing the changes of a landscapes. Thanks dear, also bring me good memories of a quite intense day of our lifes. Take care.

Hoi Rinie,
Mooi laat je ons trotse Rotterdam zien, met oud en nieuw gecombineerd. Perfecte scherpte.
Mooie foto
Groetjes

Hello Rinie,
A nice POv, the Piano building close well the framing here.
Regards,
Didier

This is a really nice view, a good balance to my close view. I like how the bridge looks like a giant, rising above the "old" warehouses. I'd like very much to know what happens to this place.
I have the same feeling as Miguel, that this place is changing fast and not changing at the same time. Really weird.
You did well with the light.

Thi is what I've come to expect of the cityscape of Rotterdam from photos of yours and Bert's. It's an interesting mixture here. At first I thought the buildings at bottom were cut off but now I see they aren't. They are like funny little smashed buildings. Especially with people there they seem too short for how many floors they have. Then the blocky building at right, another time in Rotterdam, clashes with those shorter ones in its color but matches them with a feeling of being short and squat. And then the elegent bridge tower in the back representing another face of the city with its much more elegent shape, proportions and cables. It's almost like it's holding up the others with those cables. Another good cross section of Rotterdam Rinie.
