I spotted this little angle at our TE-visit to the Porter Guild House in Delfshaven.

I think Germans have a name for such kind of art - laughende Kunst if meant to be laughed at and Kitsch or Schmarre if done seriously (with no smile expected). Love both kinds. And this angel is as absurd as only an angel made of plaster can be. And its absurdity is lovely shown - very seriously. So I think it's realy great shot. Regards T.

There is some kind of perplexity in the angel's attitude...
By giving the explanation in note it makes us forget in what sitting situation he is :-)))

I had missed this little guy and I love the humour in this sculpture and in your picture (although I think I like the alternative view better, the light is more subtle). He looks quite absorbed in his duty! :^)
