Photographer’s Note
Sorry, guys,
Rotterdam all for my eyes only ;)
Taken this afternoon while strolling around under the rain.
This is Willemsbrug Bridge, the red one, opposite to Erasmus (the swan) Bridge. The stairs leading to the bridge have those tracks where the biker adjusts the tires and go up very comfortably. Simple and intelligent solution.
Some say the necessity is the mother of invention. Very true.
I apologise for being away these days. This trip, as you might imagine, has had quite an impact on me so far. (Thanks Rinie ;))
Still have lots of WS to upload.
Heading for Paris tomorrow morning, then Germany. More to come :D
Thanks a lot for stopping by.
Stay well.

Hola Isabel, magnífico viaje y me alegra que te sientas bien, muy buen encuadre de esta foto lo que la hace al mismo tiempo bien compuesta, es difícil hacer esto en un día gris.Muchos saldos, Rafael

Very interesting POV. A bit cramped, but that is how you saw this. I have a feeling that you were struck by lines and linear motifs in Rotterdam. Your series is dominated by them.

Hi Isabel. You found a good viewpoint for this one to benefit from the graphical aspect of Rinie's bridge, as well as to include the bicyclist in the foreground. The dark contrasty mood of this one is nice, and I like that you kept whichever low amount of colors in this one instead of going for a full b&w. Take care, and enjoy the upcoming portions of your Europe trip :)

Hi isabel
Good to hear your trip is comng off well. Enjoy Paris and enjoy Germany..
Very effectual and graphic this compo. The low light and and clouded background makes it looks like something from an old Hitchcock movie - well seen, good work

Mmm, I think you've posted more whilst away on this tip, than you normally do at home :-) Glad you've been able to keep snapping in this awful weather. I like the frmaing here, and the arrangement of cables, maybe a touch on the dark side.

Hey Isabel, I'm sorry that you are experiencing such a cold (what should be) summer here, but at least it gives you the opportunity to shoot atmospheric shots like these. So far I must say the sky is great almost every day, which makes it a bit bearable.
This is a great angle, Isabel, and the lines and the sturdy column is why i like this bridge so much. The row of lamps is nice as well.
I never use these tracks, I prefer to stay on the bike, and add some 200 meters to my trip.
Have fun in Germany!

Quizás muy oscura la parte de las escaleras, Isabel, pero aun así me gusta como juegan las líneas, los suaves colores rojizos. Tiene poesía. Todos le damos las gracias a Rinie.

Hi Isabel,
Here I recognize the Willemsbrug of course, but also the very bad weather of the last weeks. Original POV and a good illustration how badly we take care of our (many) cyclist. The TE-meeting was great, but unfortunately with 20 people and 250 pictures to take the contacts were often a little bit superficial. But, like a device of one of our TV-programs: “Fortunately we do have the pictures”. There we meet again.

Isabel,
A imagem, como resultado gráfico, está absolutamente incomum. Não existe na minha memória uma imagem semelhante. Isso é interessante no seu trabalho, esse absoluto senso de originalidade nas formas que vc apresenta.
Abraço
Paulo
