[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
This detail was taken on Pieter Pieterszoon Heyn'house.

Pieter Pieterszoon Heyn, commander of the fleet, is known for conquering the Spanish silver fleet in 1628. He was born in 1577 in Delfshaven in a house at the Kerkstraat (Church street). Since 1870 this street is called "Piet Heynstraat".

In WS, you can see the head of Miguel while the guide was speaking about the spanish...

Yes, the guide talking of how this Pieter Heyn fellow became a dutch hero through his intense hatered of everything spanish was a - umm - weird moment.

The detail of his (replica) building nice though, the cropping is perhaps just a little too close in my opinion, but it still concentrates nicely on the subject and shows how such a building detail works on a background of plain (but beautifuly textured) wall.

Hallo Fred,
Mooi deze gevelsteen genomen van de linkerkant. Om het beeld te completeren heb ik in de WS een foto vanaf de rechterkant geplaatst. Helaas heb ik verzuimd om Miguel van de andere kant te nemen.
groet Rob

Hi Fred
I notice I missed a lot by talking to other members.
Lucky to enjoy with this fine detail and your note the history of Piet Heyn that was told once when I was young but forgot.
A clear colored and good tight shot leaving enough space to the texture of the bricks.
Groeten van
Henk

Nice detail from the Piet Heyn house, Fred. Good showing of the heraldic symbol and the surrounding brick wall, with a crisp rendition of the colors and textures.

Hallo Fred,

Gilbert

Nice detail of this entrance Fred.
..btw not the first time in Delfshaven that you aim upwards (have a look at the ws...)

hahahaha... I havent see neither this photo not the WS: It´s very strange to see myself in close up here in TE... About the polemic, as I said back this moment: I wasnt born. Take care Fred.
