Mayhem @ the Arboretrum

On the second day, the third day for the people who arrived on Friday, the participants of the TE Meeting in Rotterdam, visited the Arboretrum Trompenburg. There was of course a lot of shooting, nice banter and beers in the tea-garden. A few members took it upon themselves to put some additional fun in the photography of the day and wandered of, shooting through holes, being stealthy or just pointing big lenses at people from very unusual positions and angles. Sometimes provoking questions and remarks, but always with a smile. This is one of the results: two gentlemen admiring the rhododendrons.

Thanx for coming to Rotterdam, folks and being such delightful guests!

This one is for Henk, the master of framing without looking through the viewfinder.

PCS2 tech: slightly cropped, corrected for perspective distortion, altered the contrast, saturation, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, USM-ed (two pass 1,1p 120% and 4,3 45%) , added a frame and saved for the web.

Deze moest dus wel komen, wat ik heb daar toch een leute gehad ! D'er is maar één man die zo'n leuk tafereel kan spotten, jij !
Wat een begroeing hier behalve op twee plaatsen waar het ooit eens moet geweest zijn. Prachtig van kleur !
Laat het niet uit de handlopen hé !

Hallo Bert,
Een ongewone foto voor jou en toch ook weer niet. Mooi deze tonsuurtjes die naar de rododendrons kijken. Zo’n tonsuurtje zou Henk ook wel staan : -). Lars is helemaal in voor een nieuw Rotterdams avontuur dus “We will meet again”. Is dat trouwens wel toegestaan zo’n mooi uitzicht als Rinie heeft. Ik ben stinkend jaloers.

Vind het leuk dat het weekeind geslaagd is. Prachtige die 2 zonnetjes met die prachtige dof op de achtergrond. Goed gezien.

Hoi Bert,
Ik ben blij in jullie plaats dat de meeting een groot succes was, en dat er zeer mooie foto's zijn gemaakt, maar dat kan bijna niet anders als men ziet hoe men het verstand heeft blootgelegd, te zien bij deze twee mensen, dat Henk de meester der WS is moet u helemaal niet van verschieten, de man waar ik reeds veel steun heb aangehad. Kleurrijke foto Bert, goed gedaan.

Hahaha... great! This is well spotted, what a strange and funny situation. Two bold headed men, joining their wives on 'mother's day' to the arboretum. I wonder if they really admire the flowers, or if they were just trying to find support at each other for having a beer in the beergarten in the back of the park... But apart from the situation, I think you really made the best out of it with the position of the colours (red coat in front of white flowers, yellow in front of pink) and the DoF.
It was very nice meeting you and thanks again for the perfect organization of the event!

Hi Bert, what a great and funnye capture this is! They must be brothers, don't you think? I'm not sure they are concentrating, like Michael says, supporting each other, and contemplating perhaps.

Your photo is quite the opposite to mine, where I put concrete and glass, you´ve put colorful flowers, all of them quite impressive. I love the fact of dont see their faces. Thanks for all Bert, already looking forward to meet all of you some place wideworld. Take care.

A fun photo from the Arboretum, Bert, in which it is quite obvious that the two guys are going to the same hairdresser, LOL. Very well observed how their colorful jackets are competing with the vibrancy of the blossoms that were on display in these fine gardens. Great meeting you in person this weekend, take care and thanks again for the "overtime" on Sunday afternoon :o)

Hi Bert. Just minuttes before you took this i asked Richard where Henk was (my LM pusher ;o) and he replied something like "well, I just saw him and Bert following to bald men around the park, I was tempted to tag along, but it might have been a bit much" :oD- I'm happy that you did have the patience to follow these guys and get this very funny and colourful shot!

Prachtige foto van deze twee mannen met felgekleurde jassen voor die bloemenpracht. Erg leuke foto!
Goed om te horen dat het een geslaagde meeting was afgelopen weekend!

Hi Bert - Very well spotted and captured - I can reconize those flowers from its colours and I even got some "ordinary" shots - I like the two "moons" and the the different colours of the windcoats - as contrast colorurs.

Thanks for giving us the oppertunity to this meeting. You did a great job all three.
Its was great fun meeting you - hope to see you next time around.

Ik laat deze nog even voor de organist gaan.
Vind hem, na een aantal malen gezien te hebben, toch wel leuk. Die kleurenzee moet ik even aan wennen. Die met het rode jack heeft een houding alsof hij de planten staat water te geven :-)
Die met het gele jack kijkt of dit geen opschudding veroorzaakt. Slechts mijn wilde fantasie :-)
