Great urban shot. I like the different textures of these buildings. Good composition, and nice POV. I have a picture that is similar to this on TE. Rotterdam seems like a interesting place!

Dear Miguel, I thank you very much for coming. Whem coming back from Rome, I'd never thought I'd see you so soon again, but it was a delight.
And this picture is great, it shows the new architecture that Rotterdam has so much of, and I'm gonna put it in my favs.
And as far as the meeting is concerned, it was our pleasure to organize it.

Pas mal cette vue avec les différentes textures des façades des buildings de Rotterdam. Il fallait y penser!
Evidemment j'ai été plié de rire en voyant la photo des paparazzi mais je dois dire que j'en ai repéré un autre sur un autre taxi que j'ai posté en WS ;)))

Lovely shot Miguel, which really captures the mood of the high rise modern part of this city. Though I think there's something unthreatening about it, in spite of its immediate Lang like impression.

Hole Miguel, hope you had a good trip back (well at least it seems you did ;). A nice exercise in urban geometry, precisely framed and with a good graphical impression. Also nice how the stripe of red at the right breaks into the black-silver-gray tonality. Great meeting you this weekend, take care.

Hola Miguel! Good to know that you survived your return trip to Madrid. It was great talking with you in Rotterdam. I hope you will have an interesting time in Cannes.

Nice crowded shot of Rotterdam. It reflects the symbolism of the city in the Dutch community: modern, straightforward and no-nonsense, hard working aiming for the sky! It's a good graphical catch.

A propos de la photo, cela fait effectivement penser Métropolis. Ces facades en verre sont impressionnantes... je suis persuadé que mon village tout entier tiendrait dans deux ou trois étages seulement !

Indeed I was impressed too by all those new buildings, a typical mark of Rotterdam that you isolated as a graphically impression with the rythme of all the windows repated in the second building.
A fine encounter remembering the so likewise Tamil proudness in you.

¿Qué tal el ensayo del TE meeting en Quintanilla del Coco? Lo sé, lo sé, Quintanilla del Coco añadirá el glamour de mi pueblo a la capacidad organizativa de los europeos del norte.
Eso, y las chuletas.

Ahora en serio, me gusta esta foto tan urbana que presentas aquí.
Tiene algo de frío e impersonal que puede que sea por la ausencia de gente o de cualquier elemento natural. Ni el cielo tiene cabida en la foto (la esquina superior izquierda no cuenta).
En todo caso, eso la hace una foto interesante.

A very original intro-picture of this remarkable TE-meeting. I was surprised by this opening shot of you. I looked at your portfolio and found out that this is the most graphical contribution so far, but I also found out that you showed a good eye for this kind of picture before. I like it very much.

That's such a really nice note Miguel - especially the humanity of it against this 'Metropolis' like image as you say - the inclusion of the red shape is fantastic - a really good counterpoint - not so sure I wouldn't have cropped that bit of sky top right to complete the 'hemmed in' feel but I like it very much.

Querido, escrevo de um internetcafé em Amsterdam. Devia estar a caminhar pela cidade, mas estar aqui e olhar sua foto me faz sentir que estamos próximos.
Uma nota humana e uma foto cheia de linhas e concreto, na qual o céu foi esquecido...

Hola Miguel,
Buena foto de geometría arquitectónica que nos muestra la densidad urbana con estos edificios.
Líneas horizontales y verticales, distintos colores y texturas en las fachadas, y el detalle megnífico de la fachada roja a la derecha, que rompe un poco la monotonía cromática. Los cristales con su reflejo del cielo dan mucha elegancia al conjunto.

Hi Miguel! I'm sorry I didn't get to give you a goodbye hug on sunday :o) You are rigth about the Metropolis comparrison, except maybe if this had been from metropolis it would have been gloomier and grainy :o)
I'm not sure about the bit of sky, whether i would have cropped it or not, btu anyway lovely shot and a hug, Line

Nice graphical urban composition; I like all these architectural details, maily the vertical and horizontal lines of these high buildings. I also like the perspective which although compressed renders a sense of space and depth. Well seen and done!

Se esta organizando una para mediados de septiembre en la region de Lyon, si te interesa te dire desde que sepa algo mas.
Me gusta esta photo con la grand concentracion de ventanas en la que te imaginas que detras de cada una hay una historia.

Nunca tuve la oportunidad de poner los pies en Rotterdam , simplemente pegarme a la ventana de un tren que iba muy rápido disfrutando de los contrastes de esa ciudad mágica , destruido , construido , perfecccionado , muy mezclado , en parte muy holandés(delfthaven y otros barrios con canales ), en otros muy cosmopolita y con edificios vanguardistas , un paraíso para la arquitectura(como para mi lo es Berlín , y en éso se parecen)

La foto está muy bien tomada , el enfoque a quemarropa clavándose casi en los cristales y las formas geométricas de esos edificios . Es un efecto muy chulo .
