Photographer’s Note

Castle Ruurlo was build in the 16th and 17th century
in different architecture styles .It’s surrounded by a water ditch and a beautiful park.
Since 1984,after a complete restoration, the castle is used as a town hall.

Hi Hermann, A nice shot of the beautiful reflection on the mirror alike clear pond. The deep blue sky looks beautiful, especially on the pond. A well composed picture to provide a good complete view to the castle and its environment. Well done.

Bonjour Hermann,
difficile de battre pareille netteté et pareilles lumières, je ne vais même pas essayer.
Tu utilises d'excellentes optiques en plus d'avoir de grandes qualités de photographe.
Les reflets sont merveilleux, précis, fidèles au poil près.
Et la cadrage est juste comme il faut.

Well Hermann I must say I am very impressed with this capture of this Castle. The reflection really makes this photo a treat to see. Very good capture with the highlights from the low angle lighting. A postcard photo in my estimation. Thanks for sharing.

Your Ruurlo series have been just splendid for their light, dramatism and quality of the reflections shown, again things I see here, possibly this one is the best of the series for the outstanding clarity you achieved in the lower part of the image, a perfect mirror.

Hi Hermann,
A well composed shot of this lovely scene. The reflections are mesmerizing and I like the exposure level and general lighting and shadow conditions. Why is it that bureaucrats always end up working in the most lovely places? Over here its modern glass and steel edifices to the glory of government and in this scene it is a great old castle. Well, at least keeping the castle maintained is a good cause...I like this photo very much.

Il suffit que je voie un château, une église, ou toute autre architecture pour que mon bonheur soit complet.
Ici, ce château transformé en Hôtel de ville est particulièrement séduisant. Le reflet du château dynamise à merveille la composition.

A magnificent ending of your Castle Ruurlo series, Hermann. The PoV is very well chosen and the colours and the refections are delighful. You put the grad 120 filter to very good and unobtrusive use here. Lovely work!

This is a great shot, very well composed. I like the reflection and the effect of the plants on the surface of the water. This adds an extra touch to the shot. Good overall lighting as well. Good work.
