Our Lord in the Attic
A most special museum - a church hidden in the attic in a typical house along one of the Amsterdam Canals - in the middle of the red ligh district.
Pls. find below more info.

I liked this detail from the altar - and maybe of interest some information of the postwork:

Flower boquet
With lasso tools added a "romance" filter, then sharpened 300% with USM, some light adjustment

Bible and left picture
With lasso tools sharpened with USM 3-500%, some light adjustment, small increase of yellow to the exposed pages.

Background
With lasso tools, small decrease of light.

Finally a small cropping and sharpening of edges. Using some time to do some postwork for this photo was a fine additional experience after doing the compo last saturday when visiting this most extraordinaire church museum.

If you like or dislike the final result I will always appreciate to have your critic/comment.

Museum Amstelkring is one of the most cherished museums in Amsterdam with a special atmosphere that surprises every visitor.
The attic of this bourgeois house conceals a secret Catholic church, known as Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder (Our Dear Lord in the Attic), originally built in 1663, when Catholics lost their right to workship in their own way. Among other artefacts the museum house contains heavy Dutch furniture, tableclocks and two kitchens with Delft tiles.

The lower floors of the building became a museum in 1888 and today contain refurbished rooms, as well as a collection of church silver, various religious artifacts and paintings.

Hi Jack
this pic gives us a nice view, great colors and symbolism here with a nice note

regards
manuel

very nice scene here in the church, I like the book here, it looks very old indeed, very good composition and cropping

Hi, Jack. A good composition with the missal nicely set off by the flowers behind it. The plate on the left also shows nice colours. This seems to have required some work to get this result, so congratulations on that!

A nice still-life of this interior, Jack, with good attention for the details and an accurate handling of the technical shooting aspects. Framing-wise I might have tended to point the camera slightly more to the left as I feel I'd like to see more on that side of the photo. Good notes too, not only with some cultural background but also some useful tech info.

Hi Jack,

Bonjour Jack,

Hello Jack
The post processing are not visible on the image. It is good work because the use of the lasso is not simple. The gilded colors are very appreciable.

Hello, Jack!
It is a very delicate picture with a kind of second layer, which is not visible. But the old Bible on the foreground explains everything. Nice colors and reproduction of the old spirit of this place. Nice work!
regards,
Greg

Dear Jack.
I'm kinda emotional right now, because...You see, I'm not crazy about this kind of shots (I have them too)for I,m always saying to myself: Hey, what's the big deal?
You didn't arranged the elements of this, you didn't even bring them to the scene. You've just snap the picture with them using your super-duper automatic camera. Rigt,Jack?
Well, not so this time. Because I strongly believe that YOU made this photograph so incredibly classy.
The colors, the lights and shades !! You could compose this picture in many ways. You did it your way. You've chosen rightly.
God Bless

George

You did some succesful pp-work on this one,Jack.Good compo and framing and a nice arrangement of details with good use of available light.
Gr,
Hermann
