Photographer’s Note
Here are 12 Dutch windmills in different places. There are still over 1000 mills in Holland kept as monuments. Now also the number of windmills for generating electricity is growing. here is an example.
Nbr 1 reworked Swaen
Nbr 4 Dutch windmill tulip train and with tulips: The eagle - De Arend
Nbr 10 Holy Antonius is on watch and Night watch - de nachtwacht
Other mills not shown:
Mill ready to cross the bridge, Oud Vossemeer, Tholen/Zeeland
De Hoop, Hellevoetsluis/Zuid Holland

12 photos in one frame just makes each too small in my opinion, it might be a good concept for a book but it suffers low resolution web-viewing.
But I'll do a rough fast critique on the given evience.
No 1. The light is very bold and the composition looks nice and clear but perhaps the lighr is a bit too much, at least in this small presentation.
No 2 This one has some potential, the slight hump in the ground and the vertical of the mill. I think that a bit more of a panorame format would do this picture good.
No 3 To me this one looks rather uncomposed, there is too much without interest in the frame (a more interesting framing might have made those same surroundings an active part of the photo)
No 4 Good composition with the balance between the coastline in the ower left and the mill. This one really suffers from the small size presentation.
No 5 My favourite in this set, I like the combination of train, mill and flowers, this brings together different realms in an interesting way, I would be tempted to crop a bit from either the top or the bottom to put the horizon line in a compositionally more interesting place.
No 6, 7, 8, 9 Nice mill but rather boring compositon, walking backwards untill the mill fills the viewfinder just isn't good enough.
No 10 The mill and the tree does something nice together. But would have turned the camera a bit to the left to get both the tree and the mill in full figure. The play of similarities (size, vertica, opposed to the groundl) vs. differences (open/massive, natural/manmade, dark/light) looks promising. The sheeps might be a nice detail but in this small size I can't tell
No 11 I like the idea behind this shot but the trees have become a bit too heavy compared with the wing, I'd crop a bit from the bottom to make the image "fly" a bit more.
No 12 his one is just a mess and the mill is almost invisible.
So I think you have a a couple of good photos here but they suffers a lot from being bundled with some mediocre shots and presented in a very small size.

i think the first one is composed really nice, the fence and the road i think are a slight distraction from a beautiful perspective. perhaps it might look even better if you were on the other side of the fence and a little lower to the ground. i agree the lighting looks very strong, maybe at a different hour of the day this shot could be really amazing. i'd like to see a larger version of it :) great scenery in all of them, must have been fun! thanks for sharing

Hi Hendrik,
I would say that this is a bit too much to take in. At MOST I would choose 2, MAYBE 3 and go with the best ones. At the moment there is simply too much and each component suffers.

Hi, Hendrik! This is a great work, so beautiful as Holland is! I think it's hard to achieve such a good resolution in a pic like that! Congratulations! Miguel.

Dear Hendrik,
i like your composition. It seems a good calendar for example the 2008!
I think the message of torben appears too much strong...
