Photographer’s Note
There is more hope. Here is an other picture of the cornmill "DE HOOP" from Hellevoetsluis, South Holland.
This is a "stellingmolen"with a platform to turn the wings towards the wind. The mill is so high because it is a city mill standing between the houses.
The "flight is 24,6 m and the terras is allready on 10 m heigth. It was build in 1801.
Here is an other view; DE HOOP - Esperança

This is truly a fantastic mill Hendrik - one that stands tall and straight and true - I look forward to the fado too!
What a wonderful place to live in (after the war of course)

HI Hendrik,
Another beautiful and majestuous one, I like the superb angle and framing, it's a good addition to the neverending Dutch windmill flood ;-)
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Hendrik. Leuke serie molens. Ook al heeft ieder zijn eigen smaakt en voorkeur. Zelf blijf ik toch bij de Night watch. hij blijft de sterkste en het meest indrukwekkend. Gr Frans

a nicely composed shot of this windmill. A pity the sails are so square with the building, it might have looked even better if they were slightly turned around.

Hi Hendrik, I like your photo of this mill. I'm very very familiar to this one. I remember some 25 years ago it was surrounded by smelly industry, as I recall this mill was for sale, just for the price of half a euro. The only rule was you had to let it run and maintain it a bit (funded) and not to change the construction. This day the area has improved extremely, the old structures are gone and the mills has been restored to it's full glory. And that gives you, a very nice photo indeed.
See you again, Richard
