Again a picture out of my archive,, taken during the snow time 2012.
I live very close against the Netherland borders, these last picture is taken against Aardenburg in Netherland.
These area has a lot creeks and a lovely area for photographers, also for fishermen.
I found these place beautiful with the old stumps and the sunset between the trees.
Also the skaters in background make these picture completely.

Geological identity
- Geneses :
In the last ice age , the Weichsel , this area was a polar desert, where under the influence of wind dune forms ( coversand ridges ) are formed. After the last ice age, the climate became warmer and the sea level rose . In this period have developed creeks that are broken , which originated with a landscape forms from two completely different times formed by entirely different processes . Coversand ridges around the

Coversand ridges separated by marine creeks . Especially the northern part of the
creek system is partially clogged .
- Geological value :
Broken by the Marine creeks coversand ridges are very rare in the Netherlands .
- Age :
Pleistocene / Holocene .
- Relationship with soil, geology , hydrogeology .
The coversand ridges consist of sand , often with an old . farmland deck
The creeks consist of marine clay .
- Relationship with other landscape values :
The location of the creeks is usually not very easy to follow in the open countryside . The area is characterized by a wide variety of stream types , from fully open to fully Verland . The character of the cover sand ridges is somewhat affected by the construction
