What to do with an old bike?, a photo from Noord-Holland, South

What to do with the old bike when you do not need it anymore? Simple solution - throw it into the canal!
I was amazed seeing this scene from one of the bridges of Amsterdam. It happened that after the grabbing in water the big blue spoon had more than one bike at once. And also a trolley from supermarket.

Hello Malgorzata,
a crazy city, Amsterdam! But maybe the Amsterdammers don´t throw their own bikes in the canal to get rid of it, but thiefs or hooligans do it. And I heard, it´s not too seldom that cars have to be saved by a crane.

What a glorious site !

You hear stories of the old bikes going over the parapet, but this is a wonderful illustration of the fact !

I bet the price of scrap these days means junking them over the wall has stopped, but I guess these guys will be busy for a while longer !

In a country with so many bikes, no wondrr somebody and someway has to remove the old for the new, Malgo.
Nice idea, collected well on a colorfuil corener on canal-side.
