Photographer’s Note
After my rather abstract shot of the Erasmusbrug, maybe some of you, who don't know this bridge, have become curious about it, so I decided to post this nice picture with the whole 'Harp' or 'Swan' on it.
You can find information about the bridge in my other note, now I want to concentrate me on the surroundings.
The river you can see is de Nieuwe Maas. The city of Rotterdam can be proud of three famous bridges over this river: de Van Brienenoordbrug, de Willemsbrug (you can see a red pylon of this one totally on the left of this picture) and de Erasmusbrug.
Another famous bridge is De Hef, a railwaybridge. You can see this bridge on the middle of this picture (the two iron towers). This bridge isn't used anymore, cos there's a traintunnel now. De Hef nowadays is a monument.
The island you can see behind the Erasmusbrug is Noordereiland.
I took this picture from the Euromast at a height of 101m. Maybe I'll show a picture of this tower another day. The view was great, although it was a little hazy.
I cropped a part of the sky and increased the contrast. Hope you like it!

Bonsoir Lars,
Bien amicalement.

Hi Lars, very nice picture from the Euromast. You got very nice light and the midtones are really very warm. I would have preferred a shot a little bit more to the left, so that one pylon of the Willemsbrug could also be seen.
I can see my house ;-)

Lars,
Vilken häftig bro! Den ser öppningsbar ut. Det rödbruna huset balanserar upp bilden på ett bra sätt - annars hade floden till vänster runnit ut lite i sidan av bilden. Bra jobbat!

yes, thank you for this angle, as I didn't have any idea of what it would look like from afar. it seems stange having such a modern bridge in an older looking area.. maybe that's the point. i like the placement of the bridge in the pic. good shot.

Lars, amazing wide view!
I like the warm colours, all the modern houses and building, and, of course, the big bridge allmost situated in the middle.
(Can't mention anything negative this time.)
Great job!

Hello Lars,
The warm colors and the sharpness on the buildings are really well-rendered. And this elegant "Harp" in the middle of the city is perfectly placed in the frame to highlight it. The note about the bridges in Amsterdam is interesting too (but maybe a little mistake : I believe the "de Willemsbrug" Bridge is on the left... and not in the right side ;-). A nice composition, Lars.

Hi Lars,
Nice photo! You have to climbe a bit but then you get something.
I made one by night but never saw the bridge like this.
Weekly I cross the bridge and it is realy an interesting object. Specially with different weather cicumstances.
Thanks,
Hendrik.

Bonjour Lars,
Joli paysage d'architecture urbaine! Ce pont est magnifique, et il est admirablement mis en valeurs par cette belle lumière qui éclaire la ville. J'aime beaucoup, le cadrage est excellent! C'est du bon travail, bravo!

Great view! The harp bridge really does look like it could be played by a giant, do you have giants in the Netherlands? :P
The De Hef bridge looks quite similar to a bridge local to myself, does (or did) the middle section raise up to allow boats to pass underneath?
Agani good photo with a lot going on : )

Hej Lars,
Back to your gallery, I am now visiting bridges from Calatrava. I just came from the nice series of your father.
I find this general view a wonderful one to understand the urban impact of that very beautiful bridge. The impact is impressive and it changed for sure the image of this part of the city! Very good details and excellent note as usual.

Hi Lars, it's incredible how this bridge stands out so well from its surroundings. With the light at this angle the glow gives the bridge an individuality as if it has just been dropped into place by a greater power. The composition is nicely balanced by the tower to the left.

Very nice point of view on that suspended bridge, with only one pylon. The colors are nice and the sharpness very good.
All the best,
