Photographer's Note

This three 17th century windmills standing on their polder landscape near Stompwijk were built in 1672 AD to drain a swamp and turn it into polder. The combination of the dutchclouds, winsmills and green fields with sheeps are typical to de old Dutchlandschape.

Hello Kik,

The landscape is classically Holland, so charming and beuatiful, a post card like composition. What make it more special are the cloud formation, so dramatic with different layers and different shades of blue gray tone.

Hello Kiks,
A beautiful skyline of windmills on the upper area behind the meadow. The nicest part is the sky composed of those thick cloud formations: attractive, impressive and dramatic at the same time.
Under this amazing sky, the cows in the pasture seem reduced to small dots.

Hello Kik,
The clouds hanging above made a wonderful back-stage decor to a typical Duch scenery.
The grey/blue tone that dominating this scene, is most pleasent to the eyes, and the shaded green gave some mystery...
