Photographer’s Note

After a few of my Rotterdam pictures one from Amsterdam.
Also a place where there is so much to be captured though the lens....
Just outside the old centre there's a lot of new buildings around the IJ-harbour.
Here a peep between those buildings where two bikes are parked against a fence and the light made the moment there special.
A great place for B&W pictures.

Good choice to use B&W. The light is indeed quite special with the BG buildings quite muted in relation to those in the FG. The bikes provide strong visual elements to this image.

Hello Albrecht, Those bikes add interest but it is such a good graphical BW image with beautiful lighting that I think it may have worked just as well without them. I like the perspective, sharpness & excellent tones. Well done.
