The colourful top of a cable-stayed bridge in Hoofddorp - Holland

A cable-stayed bridge is a bridge that consists of one or more columns (normally referred to as towers or pylons), with cables supporting the bridge deck.
The cable-stay design is the optimum bridge for a span length between that of cantilever bridges and suspension bridges. Within this range of span lengths a suspension bridge would require a great deal more cable, while a full cantilever bridge would require considerably more material and be substantially heavier. Of course, such assertions are not absolute for all cases.

Dag Rob,

Ik ben steeds onder de indruk van uw goede keuze van fotobeelden, niemand zou hier aan denken wat u zo prachtig in beeld brengt.
Met een kunst oog heeft dit hier gerealiseerd, het verzamelpunt van de spankabels, ook nog eens de witte condens streep van een vliegtuig er bovenop.
Mooi foto werk, bedankt.

Hallo, Rob. Een zeer goede compositie: de kabels en de pylonen zijn uitstekend geplaatst in de hoeken van het beeld. Ze vormen heel goede lijnen mede met de vliegtuigstreep. De felle kleuren komen goed uit op de blauwe lucht.

Creative abstract made from what appears to be an unusual and colourful bridge. The cloudless sky makes the perfect background with tension introduced by the contrail.

Your photo combines the straight lines of the bridge structure with the lovely colors of the components of the bridge. The contrail of a high-flying jet place is a lovely bonus.

Very colourful and attrative. Almost hard to believe the this is a bridge and not artwork. The clear blue sky is perfect here. You really play with the lines here. I love that diagonal lines starts form all four corners. TFS and have a nice evening1
