Photographer’s Note

The name of the village Molenaarsgraaf originated about the latter half of the 13th century, when the Lord of the Manor of Molenaarsgraaf of that time, Willem de Molenaar, gave the order to dig a canal. The border between the villages of Molenaarsgraaf and Brandwijk runs through the centre of the Graafstroom canal

Molenaarsgraaf lies on the small bog stream Graafstroom or Alblas. Cyclists following the signposted ‘Molenroute’ [Windmill route] pass through this ribbon development village with its Kerkmolen (watermill) and partly sixteenth-century Dutch Reformed church.

For the one under us who got the possibility to come in this surroundings villages. It is a pleasure for every photographer, that is a promos, from me to you.
