Photographer’s Note
Sleeping Beauty 2
There seems to be a lot of sleeping beauties in my archive.
This one I captured on the South-Peer in Ijmuiden.
Maybe this “beauty” was dreaming about catching a big beauty. Something someone did at the same time a few meters from him away. You can see the result in the workshop
But maybe he was dreaming about the Sleeping Beauty galaxy. This sleeping beauty may appear peaceful at first sight but it is actually tossing and turning. In an unexpected twist, recent observations have shown that the gas in the outer regions of this photogenic spiral is rotating in the opposite direction from all of the stars! Collisions between gas in the inner and outer regions are creating many hot blue stars and pink emission nebula.

Hola Rob.
Your title really is a funny one, sleeping beauty, are you sure he is alive? LOL.
Very good sharpness on the wall and the "beauty". good colors and frame. Your WS is good.

Dag Rob,
Bedankt.
Groeten uit Vlaanderen,
John.

Sleeping maybe... but beauty? They say 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'! :D It's a very original shot that works very well. I also like the WS. He must be proud of his catch!

An interesting use of the perpective, although I would probably prefer sleeping with another kind of beauty...
All the best,

Hi Rob,
Mooi portret van deze schone slaper, gezien tegen een mooi oneindig blauwe achtergrond met enkel dat gele ding in het midden.
Groeten,

Hello Rob
A different kind of sleeping beauty than in the previous post ;) Actually, I found funny the straight posture of the man with his hands in the pockets! Yes, he seemed to be very relax! A good choice of selective focus and a very nice light for this image...
I like the ws too! while some are sleeping, other are catching fish ;)
Cheers

Bonjour Rob.
J'aime bien cette série. Ici la photo est remarquable par la présence de ce dormeur accentuée par le peu de profondeur de champ.
Belle lumière et bonne composition !
Amicalement,
Jacques

Hi Rob. Not enough info to comment on the beauty side but he certainly looks to be sleeping ;-). Nice catch with good detail and well defocused BG. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.

Hi Rob
Excellent POV and focus on the man. I like a lot how you framed it and the low depth of field
Fine colours and contrast

Hello Rob
It was worth your while to zoom in a little on this sleeping beauty - the result is quite amusing. Your choice of dof really aids the composition. Tfs, Marlene

Very funny catch, Rob. And very well presented as the sleeping beauty. Good to see all parts of his body, from head to feet, in spite of the dificult POV. I think I see a giant yellow fish jumping out of the water in the distance...or maybe it's just a dream ;-)
groet,
ric
