Self Reflection in the “Gemeente Museum” in The Hague
This mirror for self reflection is part of the exhibition: Glas(s)- Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam 1969-2009
All these artistic glass-ornaments can stimulate the conscious, thoughts, desires and sensations of the observer and are therefore excellent objects for self reflections.
Self Reflection (Introspection) is the self-observation and reporting of conscious inner thoughts, desires and sensations. It is a conscious mental and usually purposive process relying on thinking, reasoning, and examining one's own thoughts, feelings, and, in more spiritual cases, one's soul. It can also be called contemplation of one's self, and is contrasted with extrospection, the observation of things external to one's self. Introspection may be used synonymously with self-reflection and used in a similar way.

Hi Rob,
Excellent self-reflections not only in the mirror but on the surface of several other objects. I like the good visual balance in this great composition. Nice colors and good details.

Hi Rob,
Its been quite some time, and I really enjoyed some of your most recent posts. The presence of interesting visual spaces in this composition through the different reflections on different surfaces aptly portrayed your intention in the most effective manner. I guess you need to be older and have eaten more salt inorder to experience all these.
I too, hope get some new experiences on my trip to Europe and Canada this August.

What a superb shot. I really enjoy how you play with the lines. The red glass subject are perfectly captured and I am really impressed by the depth. You could even read SONY reverted on the strap of your camera. Excellent photo-job. TFS and have a nice day!

Such a successful framing while shooting from the hip. Presumably you also cropped the image to ensure the symmetry of the showcase. Excellent shot with several reflections of the photographer.

Zelfportret, de man met baard wanneer ik dit goed kan zien.
Toevallig keek ik gisterenavond naar NL II, en zag een programma over jonge kunstenaars, maar ook zeer mooi oudere werken, het portret van Carry Thefsen in drie verschillenfde versies kwam eveneens aan bod, dit werd overhandigd.
Bert, ik weet u steekt vol met goede gedachten, dit is weer zo een voorbeeld.

Hello Roeb,
This image, a collage of multiple reflections and refraction, invites close scrutiny everywhere. It appears to multiply the three dimensions of space, not to mention the dimension of time. The horizontal break 1/3 of the distance down serves as a horizon line, and you have cleverly arranged to place the camera right there. The brilliant red bowl serves as a highlight for otherwise subdued colors in the rest of the image. I like it very much.
