Walking to the Sun Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was originally going to post different picture here today. However I was wondering at the beach at sunset yesterday and fell in love with this shot. As you can see from location, this photo was taken in Netherlands at Rijksdorp beach close to Wassenaar. Even it might feel like somewhere bit more the the south.

No Filter has been used, it was just very amazing sunset light condition.

Yeaaaahhh ! It is a great great shot Lucie ! I fall in love with it too. It's a real romantic picture. Colors are wonderful and composition is excellent. The bird in the center gives a presence to the birds in the sky. I like your picture very much and your gallery also. Thank for it.

It is a beautiful picture. But I think "WALKING TOWARD THE SUN" maybe safer than "WALKING ... directly TO THE SUN". How do you think? Me, I am afraid of the heat:-D

What a wonderful shot and scenery. The golden shades of colour and the light is absolutely gorgeous.
Very well composed with the man placed off center in the compo. The birds adds to this picture.
There is a magical, romantic and poetic atmosphere in this shot, wonderful.
Peaceful and harmonic.

Hi Lucie! This photo is interesting as the thumb so I must open it and see better. Beautyful golden tones gives so great atmosphere to all image. Easy movement of the man and the birds. The man is on the perfest place for the composition. Great photo!

Wow, truly stunning shot. The colours are very warm and beautiful. The silhouette of the man and his shadow against the turbulent sea are very nicely captured. I also like the bird in the centre of the photo. Magical colours.

Wonderful mood ! I just love this golden light, the lonely silhouette walking toward the sea. The sea mist and the way the sunlight goes through it... Amazing and beautiful shot !

What a fabulous shot with this golden sea. There is a feel of stillness but nothing is still, the sea, the birds and the man are all in movement. the long diagonal shadows really adds to this pic.

fantastic shot Lucie, of course the toning is excellent but I specially like how the waves are jumping out and crashing on my screen.
Too bad the bird wasn't a little higher on the waves we have a bit of difficulty to understand it is actually a bird expanding its wings.

The sky is the most incredible part of the capture. Together with the wounded gull it makes the picture apokalyptic.

Oh how beautiful, are you sure this was taken in the Netherlands? :) Really looks like a very southern location. The colours are very warm and the clarity of the image amazing. I also like seeing the man walking on the right hand side and the seagull in the middle of the composition.

Hi Lucie. When having overcome my lack of words, for me this takes photography to a higher level. When I look at it, I don't think of light or composition or color, I'm just thankful that it's possible for anyone to capture a moment like this and for having shared it with me.
