Photographer’s Note
Glow Girls
Walking through The Hague you can find unexpected exhibitions of merchandise outside the shops.
I found these dolls walking on the Hofweg from the House of Parliament to the Town Hall of The Hague.
Glow Girl
Separates and lingerie, seven pairs of shoes,
Lots of Woolworth's makeup, a pair of Black Watch trews,
Your out-of-tune piano, sentimental photographs,
A million little memories, a million little laughs.
The wing of the airplane has just caught on fire,
I say without reservation we ain't getting no higher.
All you wanted from me, all I had to give,
Nothing matters you'll see, when in paradise you live,
The plane is diving faster, we're getting near the ground,
Nobody is screaming, no one makes a sound.

Hi Rob,
another interesting shot of the streets. The song fits very well in here. I like the colors and the perspective of the dolls. Well done!

Hello Rob,
Wonderful slice of life, and a small measure of globalization. More than that, your words, "I found these dolls walking on the Hofweg from the House of Parliament to the Town Hall of The Hague," remind me of the description of a little street in Oxford. You have probably visited the great university, and know that it is a federation of college. The colleges (now 38 in number) are dispersed all over. In Oxford, as in all traditional cities, is a main street called "High Street." There is also a significant street, the Broad, running parallel to the High. One crosses from one one to the other, using the directions, "You must go from the Broad to the High, passing Jesus [College] along the way!" Is that like going from the House of Parliament to the Town Hall of the Hague, passing the red light district?
Warm regards, Rob,
Bulent

Hey Rob,

Nice street view, these headless torsoes make you feel like entering the chamber of "Barbe Blue", the dangerous husband of the fairy tale from Charles Perrault who used to kill his wifes when they became to curious.
All the best,
Emmanuel
