Back again to the big TE gathering in Rotterdam.
Trying here to catch the Delfshaven anno 2006 more or less running streetwise with the 'TE gang'
Anyway: I think different cultures meets to day in this town - which for sure is a change from my last visit here - some 25 years ago.

You caught a quite characteristic aspect of modern Rotterdam. The main canal looked like it had two distinct parts, an old well preserved "native" end and an moder social housing "immigrant" end.
The two women in the foreground makes a good dynamic composition with the swinging arms, the background figures are too clumped together behind the foreground figures though.

Maybe it's just me, but this picture doesn't do anything for me at all... I agree that there are a lot of different people in the pic, but as GusTheo mentioned, go to a city like NY and you could take a million of these! The left half of the picture conveys almost nothing, except now that I look at it, I notice that the word 'diverse' is there.
This picture is definitely not up to par with the other work you have done!
Cheers and thanks for sharing!

Bonsoir mon ami Jack,

I was talking about you with Fred lately... :o) - A pity we couldn't meet in R'dam, but I really thought (and I keep hoping :o) that you would make a "stop" in Bruinisse on your way towards or back from Collioure once...
Great pic of multicultural Rotterdam, it's different indeed of your regular work but you have the right eye to do that kind of street photography, well done mon ami! :o)

Indeed another aspect of Rotterdam, Jack, the allochthonous presence living peacefull together with the people born and grown here together as a natural evidence. And these two ladies in front are really colorful eye-catchers not hiding anything from their charms, repeated in the background. A local scene with a popular snack of another kind in the background ... :)).

Hi Jack a very lively Rotterdam capture with lots of engaging detail, you captured the enrergy of the two walking ladies very well here. The compo is a little loose, maybe you can crop some on the right and on top and with using a wider aperature you could have singled the ladies out more. But these things don't stop me from enjoying this vibrant and casual street scene. Good job.
It was very nice to meet you in Rotterdam.
Have a fine weekend,
