Photographer’s Note

it was a lovely warm day at the Netherlands and we have made the plans to go sailing but... there was no wind at all!!
Fortunaly we had a littel motor but this sailer decide to keep on waiting for the wind, that did not come ;-)

Hello Kik,

An excellent use of vertical format for this composition very well balanced. The good managment of light give nice colors (especially the color of the water) and superb reflections. The alignment of trees give a very graphic BG.

Een prachtige foto, heerlijk zomers...zo heb ik, in een ver verleden, menig dagje doorgebracht wachtend op een zuchtje wind ergens op het Veerse meer.

Nice composition all in blue and white with a good placement of the sailboat.

Hallo,
De kleine bewegingen in het water zorgen ervoor dat de spiegeling van de boot net niet helemaal strak is wat ondanks het gebrek aan wind toch een beetje dynamiek aan de foto meegeeft.
Mooie kleuren. De compositie had wat beter gekund door de boot wat meer naar links te plaatsen.

Beautiful shot the extra long vertical format give even more depth to the landscape, the boat is a little too much in the center of the image, but it is compensate by the 1/3 and 2/3 horizontally. Lovely reflection and beautiful calm watet surface evoke a sence of peacefulness. Simply beautiful. Thanks

this is very graphical and attractive. You made great use of the reflection on the water and placed the boat perfectly in the frame. It's almost surrealistic, I like the final effect as the image reading. Very well done!

I love the framing with the sea taking center stage. It has much more character than the sky so it was a wise choice.
