A day out in the park Photo

Photographer’s Note

Today we had a very beautiful day in Rotterdam, and again a sort of festival, the 'Day of the Romantic Music'.
On 4 stages, music, (mostly romantic of course) could be heard. The park suddenly got crowded with people who sometimes were dressed up in romantic clothes, (whatever that may be), a lot of people tend to come in style. Picnicbaskets everywhere, and straw hats, or like these ladies, Asean umbrella's.

My choir also gave a performance today and after that we had a wonderful picnic with (lots of) wine, food and good company, among which a friend of mine Michael Gan.
What I especially enjoyed, was that the park was so crowded, it's so nice to be out there, and it's used so less, so as far as I'm concerned, once every month!

Hey, I think that Michael was there, too ;-) But he took a photo of cows. This is a an excellent shot, Riniw, thanks to the umbrella, and the blurred man with the beer at the BG. A very good shot.

Because of the angle of your shot and the distance from the ladies,as well as the direct look of one of them, it's almost like if we were there, thanks for letting us in. Good shot too, crisp and sharp colors with good DOF.

What a trio! They look great and the light is perfect!
Niiiice colors.
I would only crop the man and the beer? at the back. At least his face.

Beautiful one although I would have preferred an even shallower DOF (if that had been possible). The umbrellas give a graphical touch that is most welcome.

Another fine capture of the people of Rotterdam. They look so picture perfect under the parasols. I like that two of them go about talking while one seems to have spotted you. I really get the feel of a 19th century painting here. With the women and the parasols. I think it's the parasol that does it. You don't see too many people using them anymore. Very nice DOF, too. And a nice sharpness. Soft enough but crisp. And a very warm, and happy atmosphere. Great job.

une suggestion, si vous avez d'autres photos de "day of the romantic music" pourquoi ne pas essayer un sépia ?

You already know my opinion about this picture Rinie: I really like the composition, the filtered light and the smile of the first lady. But I also like the way you captured the apparently very niggling conversation of the two women on the right. They seem to be fussing about their nails or other beauty issues.... Great shot (and I do like the man with the beer)!

Lovely moment you shot there!
Even if the left lady looks at you precisely at that moment, the picture still gives a very natural impression. Also your picture is very sharp and well framed.
I like it Rinie... Keep doing that! :o)

You're really getting good at this thing very fast, Rinie. It's another charming and very natural-looking people shot from R'dam - I like the friendly look of the woman at the left towards your camera, and the "roof" and geometry added by the umbrellas. I'm fine with the beer drinker in the back as he adds authenticity :-) Wonderful colors; well done.

deze keer moet ik je tegenspreken want ik vindt je kader heel mooi passend bij deze compositie.
Perfect portrait of a trio in soft warm shade making colors deep warm towards a light lively background. There are a lot of things to discover even in this tide cropped composition !

It looks so summery - I like the nice relaxed and happy atmosphere. The umbrellas are great as a frame for the women and I really like the man with the beer! I think the bright red t-shirt also adds something to the shot.

3 is a croud, maar die perfekte getal vir 'n goeie komposisie, Rinie. Pragtig. Ek dink as die sambreel se bopunt in was, so dit 'n ietsie sterker komposisie wees. Mooi gedoen

Wonderful colors and DoF. Well captured relaxed, "romantic festival"-like face expressions :) The DoF and the tight framing gives a good impression of the people crowding the park for such an event. Well seen. Well done. Great composition.

Hoi Rinie, je punten staan op 5555 en daar ga ik wat aan doen bij deze foto, die mij al wandelend door je galerij opviel.
Wat een prachtige gulle lach krijg je hier van deze bruine dame, die zo chic zit te zonnen. Prachtige hartelijke ongedwongen prent.
Dank voor je tip met die Noiseware, maar ik ben als de dood weer iets te installeren op mijn laptop, want de zaak is al zo instabiel)!
Zodra ik in hardware upgrade zal ik het gaan proberen.
