Photographer’s Note

A view of a part of the lake that provides a lot of reed. This reed is used to cover the roofs of mainly farmhouses. In the horizon you can see the churchtower of Nieuwkoop. In winter when the ice is thick enough to skate on it's great fun to skate all those little canals flanked by the reed. It's an area where nature rules.
