The landscape of Aarlanderveen lies in the so-called green heart of holland - the green area sorrounded by the cities of Haarlem, Leiden, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Gouda, Utrecht and Amsterdam. On summer days dutch people enjoy to explore this region by bicycle. Villages can be seen from afar in the flat polder landscape.
