Photographer’s Note
Special for the fans of this beautiful butterfly.
Sorry I have looked on the web, but I could not find the name. a Little intro.
This was 45 minutes driving with the car, and I can recoment this beautiful butterfly garden. It's realy great, and special for our Belgian, luxenbourgh and Dutch, and French photographers. This is the bigest butterfly garden in the region. About the photo, words are not enough, but I like the pink and yellow flower, it has a great dof, and it's sharp, and the looking through details of the butterfly, are great. I like the composition a lot. Wonderful with a great dof. I realy love this one.I hope you will enjoy it too
Eaven special thanks to Pelib he has given the name of the butterfly and that is Greta oto. Thank you Peter

Weer zo'n mooie foto Jaap.

Very nice picture. It is a pity that the definition is not the best. Worth, too, a clone work over that spots (dark and white) over the wings

I agree with you that the part which is "in focus" is sharp indeed, but considered the line from your lens to the subject - the butterfly - the area in focus seems laying precisely in front of the butterfly. Not something to be embarrassed about, since it is quite hard to get the focus spot-on when using such small DOFs so typical for macro and telelens photography... How far where you standing away from the butterfly? Did you use digital zoom or optical zoom?

Beautifull ssot, pity as a litle more of sharpenes (DOF) on the butterfly's body.

An amazing butterfly. Those see through wings are incredible. Te butterfly itself is a bit unsharp but still this is a very good capture.
I loved your "looking through the bird of paradise". Something strange is happening to it though, when i'm looking at it from home. The colour becomes converted on half the picture. Looked at it at work today - just had to see it - it it was amazing.

Beautiful macro!, the flower's colors do a very atractive picture. Aa lot of patience. Can you post the shutter speed and the F-Stop you use for this picture? Great job!

Hi Jaap!!
A qualidade fotografica e impressionante. Mas o que chama mais a atenção são as cores e a elaborada composição. Parabens.
