Photographer’s Note
This was 45 minutes driving with the car, and I can recoment this beautiful butterfly garden. It's realy great, and special for our Belgian, luxenbourgh and Dutch, and French photographers. This is the bigist butterfly garden in the region. About the photo, words are not enough, but I like the green and yellow flower, it has a great dof, and it's sharp, the looking through details of the butterfly. Sorry I have looked on the web but I could not find the name.I like the composition a lot. Wonderful with a great dof. I realy love this one.I hope you will enjoy it too.

Wow.. how did you "clone brush" out the wings??? ;) only joking... A very unusual specimen, and very well captured.

Splendid macro, the details of this butterfly are extraordinary. The translucent wings are more beautiful effect. Thank you Jaap for this superb photograph.

A very good one, Jaap, not to say fantastic. I'm afraid even to look, not to heart it, or break.
Very good sharpness and DOF, the yellow flower emphasize even more the fragility.
Very well seen and done.

Perfect capture. The butterfly looks very elegant and the transparent wing certainly is a big plus. The DOF chosen was appropriate.

Wow, Jaap, I didn´t know creatures like this existed on the planet, thanks for showing me. The DOF is of course a bit short as it is a macro, not much to do ;o)

This is an amazing butterfly, never seen anything like that. Everything is delicate and lovely in this photo, the yellow flower comes out sell, as little soft, just enough so that the butterfly is still the star of this shot.

Wondeful Jaap! I have seen the other and prefer this one...great insect you got here :)
I posted a workshop, only to correct some noise, which i think may improuve the image a bit...anyway, i love it :)

Again - you are very lucky to be able to travel to a butterfly garden. This one is especially stunning! I love the transparency of the wings. Very good composition and use of DOF - agreed. I like the WS using NeatImage too. Lovely work!

The marriage of colours butterfly-flower is better here and the stronger composition. Excellent!
Excellent!

Wonderful! Nice DOF, greet detail with lovely green color. I think it must be a flydragon but not a butter fly!

I've never seen a butterfly with so much of the wings being transparent. There is a little bit of noise/grain in the image, which I see someone has done a nice workshop to get rid of

A wonderful shot of a Clearwing Butterfly. There are many species throughout the world. My guess is that it may be from Central or South America,
perhaps Greta andromica (Salvin).
It's hard to tell without really looking at the entire body. But, there are many species of clearwing butterflies and moths.
Great job of using hyperfocal focus.
