Photographer’s Note

There is only a little chance of connection between the walker and the strange parked bike. Wandering through the centre of Utrecht you'll discover many bikes hanging on the wrong side of the rail. You can also discover a bike-wreck at the right part of the bridge.(In other Dutch university-cities exactly the same) Maybe, It's in our way of life.
Picture taken at the Oudegracht of Utrecht The canals of Utrecht are characterised by the quais beneath streetlevel. Formerly they were in use for bringing stock to the shops, now you can find there a lot of restaurants (as you can see in the distance).

Hi, very interesting picture and comment.
I like the composition with two "circles" and reflection on the water. Frame is also well prepared.

Hi Huub.
This is a really lovely image, even without the added interest of the bikes. I love the 'binocular' effect the reflection makes and how the bridge disapears into the trees on either side. Very beautiful, well done.

a wonderfull compostion. well spotted.

and while there probably is no relation between the man and his bike, his tread has a certain quality to it that makes it look as if he just walked a way from a job well done, which gives the whole picture a very humerous quality.
