I'm sure anyone who knows anything about my work is aware of the fact that I am a "sunrise-rather-than-sunset" photographer. But Texel sunsets were difficult to miss and/or forget about - lasting for over an hour, starting with yellow-golden and ending with purple sky. You really have no choice but to take that camera out of its bag and set up a tripod...
More sunsets in WS.
Ps. I had to make some adjustments to make the red colour look as vibrant as it does in the original image and print and as a result it looks a bit overexposed. It's a persistent problem on TE that reds look muddy in my uploads.

This is an extra-ordinary frame, as if dark blue sea divided the red color into two parts, actually it was the reflection of sun set on the sea shore and very efficiently you captured it in your frame. Good color control and well sharped image.
warm regards and have a nice weekend,

Beautiful shot, I especially like the three layers of red .The ground circle with a man and a bird is beautiful and could be another picture..excellent capture. The third photo's colour on WS looks fine on my screen.

This is a beautiful trio of sunsets. I love the layered effect in this one with the silhouetted figure to give a centre of interest. The seagull is also very well placed in the frame. A magical image - TFS.
Kind Regards, Ann

These are three amazing photos. Sometimes I think pictures of sunsets turn into the cheapest kind of postcards, but if they are well composed they can get quite fascinating. These are well done, and especially this one has some fantastic colours. Furthermore it's so well composed with the silhouettes of the person and the seagull both standing where orange/pink meets blue/pink.

Lovely sunset with some great colors in the burning sky and on the wet sand. The silhouettes of the lonely man and the seabird complete the composition nicely.

The colours of the sky and the reflection on the wet sand are wonderful but I especially like the composition of the picture. Excellently!
Also the silhouettes of the person and the seagulls are very beautiful elements.
Best regards, Paul

Texel is such a charming island and this sunset is really beautiful. The colours are great and the inclusion of the lonely person and the gull was great. Thanks for sharing!

Now, most would have opted for a landscape format for a scene such as this; your portrait format maybe emphasizes the layered effect, and breaks the composition up into satisfying thirdy chunks. Without the silhouetted figure and the seagull, this wouldn't work; with them it's very successful.
P.S. Can't say I've noticed muddy reds in my postings: have a look at my last but one...

What a lovely, beautiful and pleasant-looking picture!
Special regards to the exposure, colors, vertical format and composition!
The sky and reflections on the water surface are very attractive!
Welcome presence of a human figure and a bird!
TFS - congrats,

A quiet evening encounter on the deserted beach, and I like the different layers of colors (orange vs dark blue-grey).

Tha's fire in the sky! it's a cracking nature wonder enhanced by that fabulous overpowering fiery red colour with lovely reflection on the wet sandy beach. The engaging silhouetted fig is so vital as strong anchor in the compo. Very well done shot nicely done, Congrats.

The man and the seagull; what a nice compo.
