Photographer’s Note

This photo has been taken in Purmerend. I was taking pictures, when this row-boat came along. The canal at which they are rowing is called the PURMER RINGVAART, this is a circular canal because of the polder which altitudes is below sea level.

I like the way the boat breaks the watersurface

Felicidades por tu foto Mathias, es original y me gusta, la luz reflejada en el canal y como se rompe las tranquilas aguas, son detalles muy buenos.

I am happy with your scene and the way you composed ... but I would have liked to see more balance in this photo by making the boat in the photo look more in the center and hence more balance

Mooi onderwerp genomen! ;) Pracht sport, al doe ik het zelf! Mooi in het midden genomen, en erg mooie schittering in het water! Misschien had je de foto beetje kunnen contrasteren, en wat lichter kunnen maken, dan waren de kleuren nog mooier over gekomen!

Nice colors, light and composition. I like how the row-boat seems to be breaking the otherwise calm, mirror-perfect water in front, nice effect!

Hi Mathias,
Interesting graphical shot. The lines of the rows are quite nice. It is a peaceful picture. I agree with Sarju though. I'm not sure it is what he had in mind, but I tried a workshop. It is the first I post on TE, so I don't know if it worked! Nevertheless, I like your shot. Good job!
