Photographer’s Note

And "finally" we have snow.....
Winter's almost finished, it's March !
But yesterday we had a lot of snow, the whole day white flakes came down on the Netherlands.
A lot of ! It has been around 20 years ago, that so much snow fell down. A beautiful day, however without sunshine, but a nice day for photographers.....

What is also amazing is that we have no so much snow than you in Brussels (1 mm this monrning and that's it) while there are also a lot in the North West of France!
Anyway, it's a very good framing of those 3 trees and the snow is well exposed. Bravo!

A very cold scene with the heavy snow on the ground and on the trees. The light is low but suffiecent, very pleasnat contrast. Good shot, Hans. did you buld a snow dummy?

Yes! What a party to the eyes and to photographers. It is so much fun shooting in the snow, especially if you are not used to have it around.

Ja Hans, heerlijk he? En je hebt het hier mooi en diep weergegeven. De drie bomen leiden ons goed de sneeuwvlakte in. Goed gecomponeerd en scherp werk!

Yes, finally. I was so happy, and it looks so beautiful outside. Even when it means that I have to take the bus insteda of the bike, I really love it. I guess everyone here does.

Dag Hans,
De sneeuw heeft ons allemaal blijkbaar geïnspireerd om enkele goede foto's te nemen, de combinatie sneeuw, riet, water en bomen hebben hier het voorrecht om te mogen prijken op een mooi hollands plaatje, er is diepte en de lichte kleuren geven een extra toetje aan uw foto.

Ik was duidelijk iets te vroeg met mijn winterfoto met een poedersuikerlaagje van sneeuw in Amsterdam vorige week... Wat een sneeuw zeg en het ligt er nu nog steeds. Uitgerekend toen ik in het buitenland zat, zal je altijd zien ;-)
Maar o.a. dankzij deze foto, beleef ik het toch een beetje mee ;-) Mooi winterlandschap!

Yes, Hans, that's certainly something special for a photographer...
With my new camera I never had the opportunity to take shots with snow, because my country is a warm one, it only snows in a few regions, and it was not possible yet...
Anyway, I liked your photo, the three trees giving excellent depth to it, as well as the background, nice colours and detail. Good work!
