After a (longer) break, I'm "home" again today. Already posted some pics of the mill, the "Eersteling", so no info today, that's with the other pictures....

what a beautiful landscape. Colours, sharpness, composition, light are beautiful. Perhaps the white gooses have not so much details, but it's a hard contrast.

Hello Hans, a quality picture with this nice Dutch Mill in a beautiful scenery very well captured. The angle of view is great and also the enquadrement of this frame. Good colors, contrast and a beautiful excelent result.

Hi Hans. A beautiful compositional work on thie springtime scene looking towards the mill through the branches, with a fine inclusion of the ducks coming around the river/canal bend. The whites on the birds are a bit bright but the overall appearance is utterly charming.

Hi Hans, I like this colorful, cheerful, and well naturally framed picture. The windmill has been placed precisely to avoid any blockage. The reflections and ducks in the curve shaped river made this photo very attractive. A well composed beautiful picture.

Hello Hans. I think the composition is one of the best things about this shot. I also like the strong greens throughout the pic. I like the low shooting angle as well. Great sharpness in the windmill too. Very nice one Hans!

I like here your excellent PoV and framing using the tree, the mill rises nicely between the branches, the light is great and the swans contribute to the creation of a peaceful atmosphere, a nice photo !

Goedavond Hans,
Dit is een lekkerplaatje, de lente duidelijk aanwezig met al het groen, (ook is dit een jaar oud) wat een rustig plaatjes, de gazen hebben de fotograaf opgemerkt en zeer alert, hier is diepte, helderheid, kleur en veel natuurlijk liefde aanwezig vanwege de fotograaf.
Hans mijn pijlen zijn verschoten, maar morgen zijn er nieuwe op de markt, en een gulden is een daalder waard nietwaar!

Very nice postcard. The lovely landscape, the mill and even the ducks, all form a very nice and balanced image. Still not sure about the tree at the right. I don’t dislike it totally, and it works well by forcing us to look into the photo background, but would also happen if only the tree at the back was visible.

the mill is very well framed by the tree and the branches. the white ducks ( trying to think they're swans ;) are a bonus.

A lovely pastoral image Hans, it has great charm and warmth and stays just the right side of schmaltz.
Nice job to get the sails clear of the trees.
Perhaps the mill is a little central, I'll try a crop in workshop.

Eindelijk weer een nieuwe foto van Hanssie!

Mooi werk. De natuurlijk omlijsting is erg geslaagd en werkt haast als een doorkijkje. De bocht in het water geeft de foto veel diept en de groene kleuren zijn uitzonderlijk diep. Persoonlijk vind ik de zwanen wat aan de witte kant, maar dat is een klein detail. Hun reflectie is wel erg mooi.

Hi Hans,
very nice 'synthesis' of many elements of Netherland! The main subject is in centre but balanced from the tree on the right side and the white gooses on the left. The dof give a nice 3D effect and i like even the litthe house 'hidden' behind a tree.

Fantastic framing/composition! I know these mills can look interesting, but come out really dull in photos - but you have done this one justice! Great light quality, interesting foreground (swans) and naturally frame with the tree and grass. Just perfect!

Very nice composition, I like the way you waited for the windmill arms to fill the gap in the sky before taking.

The only point I woudl like to make is about the geese they are a touch too bright for my likeing.

I like the image very much - this is Holland that I remember the most. Rural climate, some birds and of course a windmill. How come I didn't take to many pictures during my two months in Utrecht area?
There're some spots next to the windmill, it's easy to remove them.
