Photographer’s Note
Hi all,
I wanted to wish everyone on Trekearth and mainly the people I have discussed photo's with and mailed/talked with, a Merry Christmas and a happy and fortunate New Year : 2008! May it bring you well, may you pass fully it in good health (important!) and learn you a lot about protography and other things. May your compositions be good and exposures be spot on! :-)
I guess this one isn't but whatever :-)
[Food info]
I could not resist to take a snap of a typical Dutch dinner today, on 25-12. Gourmet so it seems is a typical Dutch phenomenon, although it probably has it's origin in Asia, so let's do not give it too much credit. It is also a typical Christmas tradition. Meat is the main menu (sorry for the vegetarians, Christmas must be a tough time..)
But it's nice to add mushrooms, paprika, onion, egg, etc.
Some people don't like gourmet, cause it takes a long time, others like it (like I do) because it is "gezellig" as we call it; sociable. Talk, enjoy the time and occasionaly take a bite.
Add a nice glass of wine, red or rosé and voila!
Bon appetit!
Well First Christmasday has passed, but have a good Second one! I have to work hehe, but will have a nice lunch.
Busy composition I know, it's just a snap, sorry!

I'd like a lot of wine with that red meat.
All in all, I love the plate the palate of RED if you wish. It's very inviting..
Thanks for sharing a wonderful spread!

Hallo Emiel,
groet Rob

Hi Emiel,
I love all the reds .. the glass with the red table cloth and food is absolutely striking .. I wish the other bright colors were not clipped by the frame .. hope you and yours have a wonderful and happy new year.
take care,
John

Hey Emiel,
Greetings to you, your family and your loved ones! I think photography and gourmet can mix well perfectly. The passion, the keen interest in the detailing and the appreciation of the end result are all important. Enjoying it is the most important thing...especially if you share it with friends and loved ones! CHEERS!
Keep up the good compositions and exposures!
All the best!
Jom
