Although the seat of Netherlands government is in The Hague, Amsterdam is the nominal capital. It is also the country's largest city, with a population of more than 750,000, and the most visited, with over 3,5 million foreign visitors a year.
The Netherlands is a country situated in Western Europe, bordering Belgium to the south and Germany to the east. To its north and west is the North Sea. Although the Netherlands is the country's official name, people often call it Holland. The provinces of North Holland and South Holland form only part of the Netherlands.

Hi Maria,

What a well manicured garden, and a splendid composition to capture its beauty. You've done a great job with the exposure, the lighting appears well balanced...nothing blown out or overly dark. This is a very nice glance into what looks to be a calm and peaceful setting. Strong, natural color and a fine display of care taken to create an appealing image. I can almost hear the birds chirping. :) Very well done!

this is truly wonderful garned and the white house (or temple) on the second plan adds very special charakter to the photo. Very carefully chosen POV resulted in interesting composition, which symmetry got a little bit unsettled by the trees - I like it!
