Photographer's Note
A relaxing and cheaper way to travel from London to Amsterdam is by train from London's Liverpool Street station to Harwich International station. There, walk a few meters and board the overnight Stena ferry to Hook of Holland. Next morning wake refreshed, have a shower and breakfast and then disembark to catch the Sprinter train to Amsterdam (change and grab a coffee at Rotherdam Central). It beats the flight and its a good way to see some of the UK and Netherlands and the ferry and cabin should save you a load on a bland hotel, taxi and flight.
