Amsterdam - Koninginnedag 2012.
un altro scatto della festa della regina che si e' celebrata ieri in Olanda, un altro musicista rock in erba... il ragazzino della foto di ieri (quello con gli occhiali alla Elton John) era un maschio (anche se quasi tutti hanno pensato fosse una bambina) - per cui a scanso di equivoci chiarisco che la protagonista della foto di oggi invece e' una ragazzina :)

another shot from yesterday's Queensday celebrations here in Amsterdam, another future rock musician...
yesterday's kid (the one with the Elton John spectacles) was actually a boy - although almost everybody seemed to think he was a girl. today's musician is indeed a girl - equally talented and equally in orange :)

una festa molto bella e colorata, c'è solo un pò di confusione, non si riesce a capire bene il sesso dei ragazzi :)))
Vabbè, ci accontentiamo di vedere le belle foto che ci presenti.

She is concentrated on what she is doing with her fingers. The orange bursts out of the blurred background. I also like the white eyes on the guitar lash.

Lovely portrait from Konniginnedag. I like the look of concentration in the girl's face and the orange of the occasion.

Living in one of the least nationalistic countries in the world, Belgians don't understand the orange frenzy of their northern neighbours at Konniginnedag. On the one hand, we're a bit jealous of it, on the other hand we find it, well, err, a bit ridiculous, to be honest. Our king's day is just a day off at work for some (i.e. mainly those who work for the government), nothing more. Maybe an occasion for a quiet beer and/or some quality time with the family.
