Photographer’s Note
The grass court tennis season has started again. It only lasts for four weeks though and two of these four weeks are reserved for Wimbledon. In the two weeks before Wimbledon several warm up tournaments on grass are held in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
Here in Rosmalen, the Netherlands I took this photo of local hero Michaella Krajicek at the Ordina Open. She is the sister of Richard Krajicek who won Wimbledon back in 1996. This week she is actually being coached by him. Hopefully it works for her as she did not have a good year so far.
This photo was taken yesterday at one of the training courts, listening to her brother. Today she won her first round match at the Ordina Open in 3 sets.

Hi Harko,
I like this. The DOF is great and works really well. Michaella has a very enquisitive look on her face. Adds to the portrait. Well done.

Hello Harko,
Very nice portrait of this tennis player. I like the way you've composed with the shallow DOF and the player in the back that tells us more about the context. Very smart!
Cheers.

Hi Harko,
Lang geleden dat we nog iets van elkaar gehoord hebben. Dit is een heel mooi portret, heel goed genomen met die tennisspeler vaag in de achtergrond.
Hartelijke groeten

Hello Harko
I like this sharp portrait, mainly because due to he blurred person in the back, we understand the scene you describe in your comment. Good use of a telephoto lens with a wide aperture, and decisive moment
Good WE
