Photographer’s Note
Yesterday the Dutch football team (soccer for the Americans among us) played their semi-finals match against the Portugese in the European championship. Football is one of the very few things that get the Dutch people emotional and chauvinistic on a nation-wide scale. The rest of the time we are a very sober people with little emotions.
With friends we watched the game and of course we wanted to get some stadium atmosphere by dressing up as real supporters. The kids also got enthousiastic and this is the result. Orange being the national color of the Dutch and the red, white and blue of the flag. Unfortunately the Dutch lost the match and are now out of the tournament ;-(((((

very funny photo, and those kids are very creative, each one chose his/her own way to support the team!!
it would be nice to take it with a nicer background, avoid cutting the shoulders/arms of the girls left and right, avoid the reflection of the flash, or avoid flash altogether, and focus on the kids leaving a blurred background instead of having such good definition of the wooden background and lacking definition of faces...
i am sorry to point out all this!! i do like your photo and i know it was not taken with the purpose to have a masterpiece, just to capture the moment... :)
