Photographer’s Note
This is one of the last shots taken same day when
-This one-.
Please take a look also = --HERE-- !
This is a second shot taken earlier than original.
Same story.
Two days ago was a lovely warm day, so around 25C and we were invited for a barbecue party, outside house ofcourse. Around 14h was no any single dangerous cloud on the sky. And wat you see here, on this composition are roofs and "sky" above city Bergen op Zoom exactly during barbecue four hours later, around 18h...
We were just to starting to eat deliciously griddle meat...
But, moustly important circumstance in this story is that we were successful with eating before a tremendous thunderstorm with during of less than one hour. :-)
I could named it - Slice bit of Luck!

Interesting and beautiful sky! I love the contrast and colours of the sky.
The silhouettes are great. I love your composiion with 90% sky 10% ground. Very effective.
Nicely seen and captured.

Bella composicion Don. El detalle del sol abriendose paso detras de esa nube tan oscura, excelente. Muy bonita perspectiva.
Beautiful composition Don. The detail of the sun opening itself passage behind that so dark cloud, excellent. Very pretty perspective.

The clouds and the silhouetes at the bottom are making a good framing to the deep blue sky. There is something strange in the picture, it is smooth on the edge of the clouds.

L'affrontement céleste d'une dépression et d'un anticyclone avec le soleil pour arbitre. Très bel effet et un cadrage superbe. Bien belle photo !

If I had weather that unpredictable, I would eat inside. Very ominous sky. These shots capture the changing weather that you obtained on these barbeque days very well. But, here in New England, we don't watch the weather reports, instead we look out the window for a true finding. Great capture.

A dramatic sky for a ... tragic barbecue!
It's the Murphy lay!
The sun in direct light is a plus

Scary! I really like the contrasts you have captured between the sky and the trees and buildings in the foreground. The sun just poking through also adds to the shot.
BTW, did you happen to take any shots of the thunderstorm?

Vraiment difficile de chosir parmi tant de beaux clichés. Je comprends ta difficulté. Hé Don, la prochaine fois, ne prends qu'une seule photo ! ;-))

This is a great shot Don, nicely composed with a real ''haunted'' feel about it. The border, I think, balances it nicely. Europe is sure doing funny things with its weather this summer!!

Quand le ciel veut bien nous donner une peinture vivante, qu'il en soit remercié.
Félicitations pour avoir su capturer une si belle image (ainsi que celle de l'atelier).
Bravo.

Hm, it looks like the apocalypse...Would be a bummer, if you couldn't eat your meat!
Do you take your camera everywhere you go? ;o)
Very nice shot!

Very nice picture of this sky. The bad weather and the clouds in sky give ofen beautiful colours and volume. Your picture represent it very well.
Well done Don

As in all your photos, colours are so bright and expressive. Is it because of camera, lens, exposure, PP... or just a good eye?

Wonderful and very dramatic sky you captured here - I like to watch the sun through that very dark cloud. Thanks for sharing this - which remind me of a barbaque one year ago where we must do the work under an umbrella and eat indoors.
Thanks Don for sharing this and the workshop (I like them both)

Hi Don, What makes me click this thumbnail? Actually its the small bright spot in the center. Its very interesting, didnt know that the sun could peep like that. :)
Spectacular shot considering detailed shadow on wide horizon, also like the cloud formation giving contrast from light to dark. Well captured.
Makes me hungry though.. :-)
