Photographer’s Note

Entre Petit Lanaye en Belgique et Maastricht, sur la rive gauche de la Meuse, une route mène sur les campagnes qui surmontent Maastricht et sa périphérie.

C'est de cet endroit, vaste, fait de prairies et de champs que cette photo a été prise par une belle journée de mai au ciel changeant.

Bonjour Daniel,

Quelle profondeur, quelle belle perspective sur la campage limbourgeoise. Beau cadarge qui inclut opportunément l'église de briques sur la gauche. Même les bâtiments plus contemporains s'intègrent ici à l'ensemble du paysage.

La ville de Maastricht bénéficie d'un patrimoine extraordinaire.
Cette vue surplombant la ville est du plus bel effet.
J'aime beaucoup l'effet de perspective donné à cette composition et au relief perçu.

Bonsoir Daniel,

Les arbres cadrent bien les différents édifices de la ville. La prise de vue dirge notre regard vers l'horizon ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. Elle permet aussi de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'église à l'avant-plan. La bonne luminosité met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

I never been to Maastricht but I know it well because of the geology, the Maastrichtian Age and more recent (!!!) the Maastricht Treaty.
It is an excellent view with fantastic depth, light and colours. Well done.

Bonjour Daniel,
Un cadrage très réussi: nichée dans son écrin de verdure, qui apporte à la photo beaucoup de douceur, l'église retient le regard.Son décentrage sur la gauche permet une belle ouverture sur l'horizon dans laquelle l'oeil s'engouffre pour découvrir en détail, grâce à une excellente luminositié, les faubourgs de Maastricht.
La couleur des cieux couronne cette belle composition.

Merveilleuse vue et excellente perspective. Cette ville ne manque pas de verdure et beau contraste avec les édifices, les différents tons de vert sont superbes. L'église bien placée dans ta compositions participe à la beauté de la photo. Beau travail.

I like very much your vantage point for this image presenting the spire of the church as the focal point against the background provided by the city and distant hills. The placement of the church in the frame is perfect. The DOF is excellent and the natural colors very nice.

Great view over the landscape from this nice, high POV. The light, together with the cloudy sky, creates a pleasant, calm atmosphere. Good composition too, the placement of the church tower on the left hand side in particular. Thanks for sharing!
