What does a city do with an 800-year-old church with no congregation? Well, it could convert it into a temple of books. The old Dominican church in Maastricht was being used for bicycle storage not long ago, but thanks to a radical refurbishment it has been turned into what could possibly be the most beautiful bookshop of all time.

Well Roy, A nice picture indoors of a bookstore doe's not make this world most beautiful - If once you'll be in Porto / Portugal, go to see the "Lello Bros." bookstore (not allowed to photo in there, though). Than you may change the title of this wonderful post.
(and my Portugees friend would agree...)
Sincerely, a nice details well collected here,

For sure a wonderful place for a bookstore, I agree with Ike about the other most wonderful!
I like very much the way you have composed the image , and the very good light management here, good perspective and good idea too the inclusion of the woman reading...
Have a nice day...

A beautiful book store by any measure. Better than being used as a store for bikes. You caught the columns and the ceiling well with this vertical format
